Alia Bhatt Manifests Another Film With Varun Dhawan; Is Dulhania 3 On The Cards?

Alia Bhatt has a fantastic idea for fans on how to create “Dulhania 3” with Varun Dhawan that could be ‘first of its kind.’ Alia, Varun, and Sidharth Malhotra began their Bollywood journeys together in Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student of the Year. In this college rom-com, Alia’s character initially dates Varun but ultimately falls for and marries Sidharth’s character. While their chemistry was sweet, it paled in comparison to the love that audiences felt for Alia and Varun’s pairing in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014).

Since their last screen appearance together six years ago, fans have been eagerly hoping for their reunion. Fortunately, Alia has expressed a strong desire to collaborate with her fellow “student” once again. Recently, Alia held a fun meet-and-greet session with fans, where she discussed the prospect of working with Varun again.

In a viral clip from the event, she shared, “Both VD and I know it would be wonderful for us to do another film together because we truly have a blast while working. We’re like two kids, always playfully bickering. Hopefully soon! Just putting it out there into the universe so we can come together and create a beautiful story—it will happen for sure. We’ve got plenty of time, yaar. We are both here to stay!”

Varia Forces

After Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Alia and Varun rejoined forces for the spiritual sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) and then collaborated again in Kalank (2019). Fans have long awaited a third installment in their beloved Dulhania franchise. When Alia was asked about Dulhania 3 during the meet-and-greet, she responded, “Dulhania 3? Yes, but there should be a script first, right?” When fans suggested they could write it, she enthusiastically replied, “That’s a fantastic idea! It would be the first of its kind. Why don’t you all come together and write the script? It would be amazing. I think it’s a fabulous concept!”

Currently, Varun is busy preparing for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Initially, there were rumors that this film might be the next installment in the Dulhania series, but Karan Johar has since dismissed those claims. Meanwhile, Alia is filming Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
